Taverns & Dragons (Kickstarter)

Taverns & Dragons combines dice placement mechanics with worker movement, in an adventure game full of heroes and dragons. At the beginning of each round, players roll their dice.

Then, each player will play one dice, either to move a minion, get ressources or cook a recipe. Your minions may also collect ingredients, visit locations to get bonuses and engage in a risky (but rewarding) dragon hunt. Valiant heroes are waiting on the marketplace, willing to offer their skills in exchange for a few shiny coins…

To win the game, you must have the highest prestige points at the end of the game. These points are earned by cooking recipes, completing missions, engaging heroes and hunting dragons.

In Taverns & Dragons players compete by sending minions to gather ingredients, cook recipes, engage heroes and hunt dragons. To win the game, you must have the highest prestige points at the end of the 7 rounds.

At the start of each round, all players roll their 5 dice. The player with the lowest total gets the first player token.  Then, each turn, you will place one dice, either to get gold, gain energy, move a minion or cook a recipe.

Move one of your minions clockwise around the gameboard, then collect one available ingredient on your area. Wild plants, magic mushrooms, hellfire spices or dragon eggs… Make the right choices!

To cook a tasty recipe, place a die on the recipe card and discard all the ingredients required, from your supply. Then add up the values of the die and card, and earn that much prestige.

You may visit an adjacent location. Discard the resources shown on the tile and apply its special action. Explore a spooky dungeon, travel through a magic portal, rest around a warm campfire.

If you are brave enough, go on a dragon hunt for dragon meat & rewards! Discard energy gems, roll as many dice, use rune and heroes to improve your roll, and apply your hits! But beware… the dragon might strike back!

During your adventure, engage heroes to create powerful combos, manipulate dice or ingredients, and assist your minions in their adventures. They also bring prestige to your tavern!
