P’achakuna takes you on a journey in the heart of the Andes together with your most loyal friend — your llama. The game includes both black and white llamas, with you controlling one color and your opponent the other.
P’achakuna is a smart 2 player gaming experience on a unique, modular board ?️. Both players follow their own paths on the same board but are never completely separated from each other. The rules of the game are easy to learn and allow a quick and uncomplicated start. However, the depth of the game and the high replay value should not be underestimated.
Each game comes with a Kickstarter exclusive, handmade Fabric Bag, made in Bolivia, it could not be more authentic.
In P’achakuna, you go on a journey into the heart of the Andes together with a fellow player.
In the game, you act as traders who transport natural dyes (“resources”) through the ever-changing Andes with their most loyal companion – their llama.
The player with the white llamas only moves through the green valleys, while the player with the black llamas can only climb over the barren mountains.
By rotating the double layered hexagons, both players build their very own paths.
As a trader, you only make profit by delivering resources to the villages with high demand. (Color of the upper flag = 2 profit per delivered resource; Color of the lower flag = 1 profit per delivered resource).
With spare resources you can buy more llamas (4:1) or additional rotations (2:1).
The player that gathers all 7 resources first – wins the game.
In this video, you can watch a full playthrough of P’achakuna played by Marc and Samuel. You’ll soon discover that while P’achakuna looks simple, it has great strategic depth and plays differently each time.
