Dear all, we are in the middle of March and publishers worldwide are putting in the shift to produce batches of quality games for our entertainment. Man, oh man! The list of exciting upcoming games are enough for us to lose some sleep. They include the majestic Star Wars: Rebellion, a new expansion of our favorite miniature game, Arcadia Quest: Inferno and the follow up to our Game of the Year 2014, Dead of Winter, namely Dead of Winter: The Long Night.

Star Wars: Rebellion

Where do I even start? To fill everyone in, Star Wars: Rebellion is a board game of epic conflict between the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance for two to four players!

One side plays the Empire, another the Rebellion, in a vast conflict involving more than 150 plastic miniatures and countless twists, turns and heroics. This game allows players to experience the Galactic Civil War like never before. Given the differences between the Empire and Rebel Alliance, each side has different win conditions, and you’ll need to adjust your play style depending on who you represent.

Fantasy Flight is not kidding when they announce that this game will have plenty of cinematic and heroic scenarios that Star Wars fans will find themselves immerse in.

Check out the excellent Shut Up and Sit Down review below and get ready to be blown away! (Yes, UK and Canada gets their games first before us)

Arcadia Quest: Inferno

Arcadia Quest = Cute + Miniatures. If these 2 factors are what you are looking for in a board game, Arcadia Quest is most likely the game you are looking for. Hell, it’s the only miniatures game that my girlfriend would play with me willingly, without making the usual “Arghhh… Another miniatures game” groan.

So when I knew that Arcadia Quest: Inferno is on Kickstarter, there’s no reason that I won’t be backing it. It includes 27 KS edition heroes! (That’s enough reason to back it) Also included in the KS edition are the Poison Dragon, many more minions and pets, which are new to the series.

Furthermore, a new campaign system is introduced, along with a new mechanism called “Damnation”. The more powerful your weapons are, the higher chance you will get corrupted.

Just give me my copy already!

Preorder End Date: 28 March 2016

Dead of Winter: The Long Night

Main reason why Dead of Winter gets so much love from Team Board Game is cause this game gets the most play time among all the games that we have played. Casual gaming group, hardcore gaming group, zombie movie fans, fans of co-op games, fans of betrayal groups; Dead of Winter just appeals to everyone.

When we heard that Dead of Winter: The Long Night is getting released late this year, the feeling we had was comparable to striking the $10 million TOTO. It was just that great.

Admittedly, there’s no much news on this title yet. Leaked images show that there are additional threats to the colony, on top of zombies and they are known as the outlaws. Also, a secret location known as the Raxxon pharmaceutical location (of Specter Ops fame) allows the colony access to more powerful weapons, with the risk of running into more powerful zombies as well.

TBG Expected Release Date: Oct 2016
