I love National Day. Besides the fact that it is one of my rare “off” days, it is one of those occasion where I feel proud to be Singaporean. It could probably be due to the usual bombardment of National Day songs that we all learnt to sing-along to (I’m looking at you, Home by Kit Chan), or it could possibly be the fact that I know that thousands of young and old alike are putting in their 110% in making the parade a success, but I think my appreciation of Singapore is due to the fact of how safe Singapore is as a country.
With that food for thought aside, I will be spending my rare “off” day this time round with my buddies, gathered around the table and hopefully get to play a few recent games, such as Gloomhaven or Terraforming Mars.
